From youth tournaments to board retreats and wedding weekends, we help organizers find the right venues, lodging, and visitor information across DeSoto County.
DeSoto County sits between Memphis and Tunica with indoor and outdoor venues for tournaments and spectator events, from multi-field baseball and softball complexes to golf, soccer, tennis, volleyball, and arena sports at Landers Center.
Indoor and outdoor venues across the county support intimate gatherings and larger celebrations. We help couples and planners connect with lodging, dining, and visitor information for wedding weekends.
Company meetings, sales conferences, and executive retreats can draw on thousands of guest rooms and meeting spaces, with Memphis International Airport about fifteen minutes away and evening options for dining, shopping, and entertainment.
Our team can support planners with welcome remarks, registration help, restaurant and attraction guides, and group tour coordination so attendees get the most from DeSoto County.
Governance
The DeSoto County Convention and Visitors Bureau Commission was created on May 6, 1996, by the County Board of Supervisors pursuant to Mississippi Senate Bill 3173. The commission has seven members. Five are appointed by the DeSoto County Board of Supervisors. Two at-large members are appointed as members of the DeSoto County Economic Development Council. All members serve four-year terms.
