The South Abutment Recreation area sits along Arkabutla Lake and Dam in the hills of northweast Mississippi. The campground is located just south of the Arkabutla Dam. This campground offers 80 Class A campsites in a predominantly pine-forested area and a trailer dump site. The nearby day use area includes one picnic shelter, numerous picnic tables, playground and designated swimming beach. Visitors enjoy outdoor recreational activities such as camping, fishing, boating, swimming, biking and spending a relaxing day taking in all that nature has to offer.
